Volunteers

 Volunteer opportunities are available at the Bowie Animal Shelter.  We are always looking for special people who can devote at least one shift per month to animal care and feeding, shelter maintenance and cleaning, or community fundraising.  If you would like to volunteer for special events only we also welcome you.

• To be a volunteer, you must:
  Be at least 12 years old, with parent consent (12-15 year olds have a 2 hour time limit per day) 
• Be compassionate and caring
• Love animals!

The Friends of the Bowie Animal Shelter is still in the process of learning but will try to provide our volunteers with all necessary training.  Junior volunteers are taught animal care basics on Saturday mornings and adult volunteers can come on the weekend at any time or in the evening to work one on one with another volunteer by calling Jodi at 817-905-9183.  If you are interested in volunteering for fundraising or special events contact Jennifer at 940-531-2355.
