About Us
The Friends of the Bowie Animal Shelter is a small group of passionate volunteers who work hard to educate people in the community to the importance of being a responsible pet parents by spaying/neutering their pet and providing proper food, water and housing for their pets. We feel it is important to teach children the proper way to interact with their pets and other peoples pets, so they in return may become responsible pet parents.
The money we raise goes to providing free spay/neuter service for pets adopted from the Bowie Animal Shelter and a Pet Food Pantry. We also offer free rabies shots at some of our fundraising events.
We believe a well socialized pet is a better neighbor and is less likely to end up in a shelter or abandoned and homeless.
We work toward a time when there are no homeless pets! |
