The Bowie Animal Shelter is owned by the City of Bowie and operated under the Bowie Police Department. Willy Conway is the Animal Control Officer.
The Bowie Animal Shelter's mission includes protecting citizens from stray animals, placing animals into loving, permanent homes, educating the public about the importance of spay and neuter responsibility, and to help bring about a time when there are no more homeless animals.
We have 6 regular volunteers and 6 junior volunteers between the ages of 12-15 who keep the shelter open on the weekends and clean in the evenings during the week.
The Bowie Animal Shelter is located at: 1508 Wise Street in Bowie, Texas.
The phone number is (940)872-2275 (BARK).
